* * * Atlantis is a project in which the owner places very specific demands on us: an elegant style tending toward the classic, a hull optimized for IMS tonnage, and a general organization of the boat in such a way that it can be run by a small crew.
The boat is built by the Crosato shipyard in Treviso (Nautica C4) from wood and epoxy resin. The planking consists of a full layer of spruce to which four cross layers of kahia mahogany are added, while the deck is made of marine plywood covered in fine teak. The bonding of the various layers is carried out using the vacuum technique. A carbon fiber lattice is inserted between the third and fourth layers.
The interior design is set on the principle of entrusting the very structures of the hull and deckhouse with an aesthetic function as well; in fact, where possible, the ordinates and beams have been left exposed without resorting, except for the indispensable, to furnishing elements that would conceal them.
